Unemployment And Sitting On His Duff

I just heard of a guy who lost his job last fall but has been content to sit on his butt and collect employment. The dude is not even looking for work! No, he's not one of those "discouraged" unemployed workers who stopped looking for work because he can't find any work; he would just rather take a few bucks from Uncle Sam and not work.
Do you know anybody like this? How should the country handle people like this?

I lost my job a year ago and have not found one yet. I got severence pay and thankfully unemployment compensation. However I would end it in a heartbeat if I could land another Super(or any golf course) job. I am embarassed to tell anyone Im on benefits. If you sit around thinking you will get a job later---Your Wrong. Of course the guy might be in his 20's or 30's and will get hired right away. If he is 50 or more(like myself) your screwed--hello walmart--goodbye golf course superintendent of 30 years.

I'm with ya buddy. My company went belly up and I'm living in my parents basement with my wife and 2 kids and stuck with a 200k house I can't sell and 24k of unsecured debt. My retirement funds are exhausted and I'm 44, so my days as a super are over. Too bad I never got a 4 year degree, because now I'm not qualified to do anything more than cut grass!! Oh well, what's the saying.."Life's not fair" Nobody cares either, so we'd might as well quit whining, right??
