For the fifth year, Syngenta is inviting golf course superintendents across the United States to apply to attend the Syngenta Business Institute, an innovative professional business development program. Syngenta developed the program specifically for superintendents, in conjunction with Wake Forest University Schools of Business.
The unique, four-day program will supplement and complement superintendents’ existing knowledge base, allowing more productive and efficient golf course management. The curriculum provides hands-on knowledge for superintendents to enhance their business acumen, and provides a set of leadership skills for their professional development.
Workshop sessions focus on financial and human resource management, delegation skills, effective communications and negotiation skills, managing generational differences and more.
The Syngenta Business Institute will be Dec. 6-9, 2013, at Graylyn International Conference Center on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Superintendents must fill out an application, which includes an essay on why they believe they should be selected to attend. Applications are due by Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013. Syngenta will select 25 individuals to participate based on their essays and commitment to the industry.
